RIP6100IP65 Remote Display
The Laumas RIP6100IP65 is a large-digit outdoor remote display featuring a 6-digit semi-alphanumeric red LED display with 95 mm (3.74 inch) digit height, housed in an anodized aluminum enclosure with IP65 protection. Designed for wall mounting, it supports RS232 and RS485 serial communication and operates on 110 to 240 VAC.
PRODUCT DETAILS
The RIP6100IP65 is a high-visibility remote weight display built for industrial and outdoor environments where clear, reliable weight readout is essential. With 95 mm (3.74 inch) tall red LED digits visible at a distance and an IP65-rated anodized aluminum enclosure, it is well-suited for use in warehouses, loading docks, recycling facilities, truck scales, and outdoor weighing stations exposed to dust and moisture.
The remote display communicates over RS232 or RS485 serial ports, with up to 15 settable addresses for multi-drop configurations, allowing it to receive data from virtually any weight indicator or controller that outputs a standard serial data stream. Can be configured using a PC via RS 232, and features a built-in red/green traffic light function for axle weighing applications. An anti-condensation ventilated valve helps regulate internal humidity and pressure in demanding outdoor conditions.
The unit ships complete with connectors, a 1.3 m (4.27 ft) power cable, and wall mounting brackets. An optional sun and rain protection shield is available for fully exposed outdoor installations.

NBSCIA purchased a four piece set of Ultraslim LCD to allow two axle weighing. Staff could transport the Ultraslims in their personal vehicles.
Units were easy to level and the digital key pad was easy to read, even in sunlight.

I wanted to pass on a thank-you from my customer EMS-Tech. Specifically to Marc but also to the others at Massload that were involved but I didn't deal with directly.
Last fall EMS-Tech bought a pair of custom ML-700s to measure cable tension for the winches that manipulate the loading spout at a grain terminal.
All was going well until about 5 weeks ago, when an operator at the terminal bypassed the safety mechanism, overloaded and broke the tension link as well as some other equipment. EMS-Tech has been under a lot of pressure from their customer to put the grain terminal back into service ASAP.
Marc & Massload made every effort to ensure that the custom ML-700 was delivered on time as promised.
Originally, the ML-700 was to be shipped via UPS Express but when Marc found out that UPS could not guarantee delivery, he hand delivered the equipment to Fedex. This saved at least two days and provided the time needed to configure & calibrate the electronics before handing the equipment over to EMS-Tech for installation and commissioning.

We purchased a set of axle pads several years ago and they are very accurate and convenient. When one of the load cells failed, ( I suspect operator abuse, truck slamming on the brakes) Ryan in tech support was amazingly patient, professional and helpful in the diagnostic process. He went above and beyond to help us get the problem resolved.
Our scale was up and running very quickly and is a very useful tool on our farm again.
*Just a side note, the more picky you are regarding the ground work under and ramps leading on and off the pads the more accurate they’ll be. We put a concrete pad underneath them and a level approach and departure ramp for weighing super B’s and are within 10-40 kg consistently of all the other certified scales in our area.
