The Laumas COD is an legal-for-trade in EU OIML R60 Class C5 column digital load cell with RS485 output. Its AISI 4340 nickel-plated steel body with AISI 304 stainless steel shell delivers combined error ≤ ±0.014% and IP69K protection, designed for high-accuracy hopper, silo, industrial tank weighing systems and truck scales using a direct digital bus connection to compatible Laumas indicators.
The COD is a column-type digital load cell delivering RS485 serial output for direct bus connection to compatible Laumas WINOX BGE and WTAB BGE digital weighing indicators eliminating the analog signal conditioning, junction boxes, and cabling infrastructure required by conventional millivolt/volt column load cells. Available in 25,000 kg and 50,000 kg (55,116 lb and 110,231 lb) capacities at OIML R60 Class C5 accuracy, the COD provides combined error ≤ ±0.014%, making it the preferred choice for legal-for-trade industrial weighing applications where the highest accuracy and simplified digital cabling are both priorities.
The AISI 4340 nickel-plated steel body with AISI 304 stainless steel shell is sealed to IP69K, providing protection against high-pressure steam jet cleaning at 100 bar and 80°C, meeting the demands of washdown-intensive food, , and dairy processing environments. Multiple load cells can be connected in series on a single RS485 bus (up to 1,200 m maximum transmission distance), enabling multi-point hopper, silo, and tank weighing systems to be wired with a single bus cable rather than separate analog cables for each load cell. Load cell bases with anti-rotation mechanism, earthing cable, pipe clamps, and lightning and electrical shock protection are all included standard. Connection cable options of 5 m and 10 m are available.
