WINOX-R 3A Stainless Steel Hygienic Weighing & Batching Indicator
The Laumas WINOX-R 3A is an AISI 304 stainless steel hygienic weight indicator and batching controller with IP69K front-panel protection, 3A certification, a 6-digit red LED display, and NTEP Class III/IIIL approval for the United States and Canada. Engineered specifically for sanitary food processing and dairy environments where regular high-pressure hot wash-down is required.
PRODUCT DETAILS
The WINOX-R 3A is the food-industry-first member of the WINOX-R family, distinguished by its RPSCQC hygienic device authorization from 3-A Sanitary Standards Inc. (3-A SSI) – the benchmark standard for hygienic equipment design in food, dairy, and beverage processing in North America. While the standard WINOX-R provides IP68 protection, the 3A adds IP69K at the front panel, meaning it withstands high-pressure hot steam and water jet cleaning at up to 100 bar – the type of aggressive sanitation protocols used daily in meat processing, dairy, and food Original Equipment Manufacturer (Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)) facilities.
The front-panel-mounted design with extractable screw terminal blocks facilitates rapid servicing in production environments. Like the full WINOX-R range, the WINOX-R 3A has different programs such as Base, Load, Unload, 3/6/14 Products, and Multiprogram batching with 99 formulas, precision batching, automatic fall calculation, and big-bag management. Fieldbus options such as CANopen, DeviceNet, Profibus DP, EtherNet/IP, Ethernet TCP/IP, and Modbus/TCP allow full automation integration. NTEP Class III/IIIL and UL recognition for the United States and Canada ensure certified legal-for-trade accuracy in certified food processing environments.
Most Common Applications: Meat and poultry processing, dairy and cheese production, beverage and brewery batching, cleanroom weighing, food ingredient dosing and filling requiring hygienic certification.

NBSCIA purchased a four piece set of Ultraslim LCD to allow two axle weighing. Staff could transport the Ultraslims in their personal vehicles.
Units were easy to level and the digital key pad was easy to read, even in sunlight.
NBSCIA found the scales to be accurate compared to harvest yield monitors and highway scales.
For NBSCIA's purpose to check crop yield and estimate tones of manure applied and fertilizer application on test plots the Ultraslim LCD proved to be the best choice.

I wanted to pass on a thank-you from my customer EMS-Tech. Specifically to Marc but also to the others at Massload that were involved but I didn't deal with directly.
Last fall EMS-Tech bought a pair of custom ML-700s to measure cable tension for the winches that manipulate the loading spout at a grain terminal.
All was going well until about 5 weeks ago, when an operator at the terminal bypassed the safety mechanism, overloaded and broke the tension link as well as some other equipment. EMS-Tech has been under a lot of pressure from their customer to put the grain terminal back into service ASAP.
Marc & Massload made every effort to ensure that the custom ML-700 was delivered on time as promised.
Originally, the ML-700 was to be shipped via UPS Express but when Marc found out that UPS could not guarantee delivery, he hand delivered the equipment to Fedex. This saved at least two days and provided the time needed to configure & calibrate the electronics before handing the equipment over to EMS-Tech for installation and commissioning.

We purchased a set of axle pads several years ago and they are very accurate and convenient. When one of the load cells failed, ( I suspect operator abuse, truck slamming on the brakes) Ryan in tech support was amazingly patient, professional and helpful in the diagnostic process. He went above and beyond to help us get the problem resolved.
Our scale was up and running very quickly and is a very useful tool on our farm again.
*Just a side note, the more picky you are regarding the ground work under and ramps leading on and off the pads the more accurate they’ll be. We put a concrete pad underneath them and a level approach and departure ramp for weighing super B’s and are within 10-40 kg consistently of all the other certified scales in our area.
