The Crosby G-2140 is a Grade 8 forged alloy bolt type anchor shackle, available in 55t and 85t capacities, quenched and tempered with alloy bows and bolts. Approved for use at −40°F to 400°F (−40°C to 204°C). These are typically recommended to use with Massload Tension Links in 100K and 150K capacities and are used for Massload Load Shackles.
The G-2140 is the heavy-duty shackle, engineered specifically for applications that demand higher working load limits within tighter dimensional constraints. Built to Grade 8 performance requirements with forged alloy steel bows and alloy bolts, the G-2140 delivers the strength and impact toughness required for the most demanding overhead lifting, offshore, and heavy industrial rigging operations.
Like the G-2130, the bolt type pin design provides secondary retention — the nut-and-cotter-pin assembly prevents the pin from rotating or loosening, making the G-2140 the correct choice for permanent and long-term installations, multi-leg sling assemblies, and situations where the load may slide or rotate on the pin.
Most Common Applications: Heavy overhead lifting, offshore lifting, crane and rigging, permanent and long-term heavy installations, Massload tension link installations, Massload load shackles.
