The Laumas FCAX is an AISI 420 stainless steel bellows-type bending and shear beam load cell available in capacities from 30 kg to 1,500 kg with IP68 protection. Certified to OIML R60 standards with ATEX/IECEx listings, the FCAX is designed for tank, vessel, and hopper weighing in corrosive and potentially explosive environments where its unique bellows construction provides natural overload protection and self-centering.
The FCAX unique bellows-type bending and shear load cell is immediately recognisable by its distinctive corrugated bellows body that provides better resistance to side load, lateral forces, and mechanical impact than shear beam designs. Constructed from AISI 420 stainless steel and rated IP68 across all capacities (30 to 1,500 kg), the FCAX is well-suited for tank and vessel weighing in corrosive environments. The bellows construction absorbs horizontal forces and thermal expansion, reducing the need for complex mounting arrangements and minimizing parasitic force errors in multi-cell weighing systems. A rated output of 2 mV/V ±0.4%, combined error ? ±0.02%, and maximum excitation of 15 V deliver reliable accuracy across the full capacity range. ATEX/IECEx certification is available on request for use in zone 0-1-2-20-21-22 hazardous areas. An optional pair of stainless steel tension brackets (STAFFEFCA) is available for loads up to 300 kg for tension application.
