W100 DIN Weight Indicator
The Laumas W100 is a compact DIN-rail weight indicator with a 6-digit LED display, RS-485/RS-232 communications via Modbus RTU, 5 relay outputs, NTEP Class III/IIIL approval, and UL recognition for the United States and Canada. Designed for front-panel mounting in control cabinets and industrial automation systems requiring non-legal or legal-for-trade weight data.
PRODUCT DETAILS
The W100 is a DIN-installed weight indicator designed to integrate directly into industrial control panels and automation enclosures where space is limited and seamless PLC or SCADA connectivity is required. At just 96x48x130 mm (drilling template 92×45 mm), it fits standard DIN panel cutouts alongside other instrumentation without requiring a dedicated indicator housing.
Despite its compact footprint, the W100 delivers a capable feature set: Modbus RTU communications over RS-485 or RS-232 with baud rates up to 115,200 bit/s, five relay outputs for setpoint control and process automation, three optoisolated digital inputs for status monitoring, and an optional 16-bit analog output for direct PLC analog integration. Up to eight 350 Ω load cells can be connected in parallel via a junction box, supporting vessel, hopper, tank, silo, and conveyor weighing installations.
The real-time clock, vibration digital filter, and semi-automatic tare functions cover the most common industrial process requirements. Configuration is handled via the Laumas Instrument Manager PC software – available as a free download – or via the front-panel keypad. NTEP Class III/IIIL approval (10,000 divisions) and UL recognition for the United States and Canada support legal-for-trade deployments in controlled industrial environments.
Most Common Applications: Tank and hopper weighing, silo level monitoring, batching and filling line control, conveyor belt weighing, industrial process control and PLC integration.

NBSCIA purchased a four piece set of Ultraslim LCD to allow two axle weighing. Staff could transport the Ultraslims in their personal vehicles.
Units were easy to level and the digital key pad was easy to read, even in sunlight.
NBSCIA found the scales to be accurate compared to harvest yield monitors and highway scales.
For NBSCIA's purpose to check crop yield and estimate tones of manure applied and fertilizer application on test plots the Ultraslim LCD proved to be the best choice.

I wanted to pass on a thank-you from my customer EMS-Tech. Specifically to Marc but also to the others at Massload that were involved but I didn't deal with directly.
Last fall EMS-Tech bought a pair of custom ML-700s to measure cable tension for the winches that manipulate the loading spout at a grain terminal.
All was going well until about 5 weeks ago, when an operator at the terminal bypassed the safety mechanism, overloaded and broke the tension link as well as some other equipment. EMS-Tech has been under a lot of pressure from their customer to put the grain terminal back into service ASAP.
Marc & Massload made every effort to ensure that the custom ML-700 was delivered on time as promised.
Originally, the ML-700 was to be shipped via UPS Express but when Marc found out that UPS could not guarantee delivery, he hand delivered the equipment to Fedex. This saved at least two days and provided the time needed to configure & calibrate the electronics before handing the equipment over to EMS-Tech for installation and commissioning.

We purchased a set of axle pads several years ago and they are very accurate and convenient. When one of the load cells failed, ( I suspect operator abuse, truck slamming on the brakes) Ryan in tech support was amazingly patient, professional and helpful in the diagnostic process. He went above and beyond to help us get the problem resolved.
Our scale was up and running very quickly and is a very useful tool on our farm again.
*Just a side note, the more picky you are regarding the ground work under and ramps leading on and off the pads the more accurate they’ll be. We put a concrete pad underneath them and a level approach and departure ramp for weighing super B’s and are within 10-40 kg consistently of all the other certified scales in our area.
