TM-U295 Slip Printer
The Epson TM-U295 is the smallest slip printer available, widely used with load cell/scale indicators and portable weighing solutions. It prints on any paper type or pre-printed ticket – including company letterhead – in normal, double, and quadruple size, in both horizontal and vertical formats. Available in serial RS 232 or bidirectional parallel communication.

The Epson TM-U295 slip printer is a compact and reliable receipt and ticket printer built for industrial weighing applications where a professional, customizable printed record is required. Unlike roll paper printers, the TM-U295 accepts individual slip paper, including pre-printed company letterhead, custom weight tickets, and standard blank sheets making it the preferred choice for truck scale operators, portable axle weighing stations, and commercial scale installations that need branded or multi-part tickets.
Its ability to print multi-part copies in a single pass is especially valuable for applications requiring simultaneous records for the operator, customer, and filing – common in agriculture, grain handling, logistics, and traffic enforcement. The TM-U295 is available in both serial and parallel interface versions, connecting directly to load cell/scale indicators and weighing terminals. The included PS-170 Universal Power Supply auto-switches for most markets, and Windows and OPOS compliance ensures broad software compatibility. Custom ticketing programs can be configured by Massload to produce the exact data layout, format, and fields required for a specific application.

NBSCIA purchased a four piece set of Ultraslim LCD to allow two axle weighing. Staff could transport the Ultraslims in their personal vehicles.
Units were easy to level and the digital key pad was easy to read, even in sunlight.
NBSCIA found the scales to be accurate compared to harvest yield monitors and highway scales.
For NBSCIA's purpose to check crop yield and estimate tones of manure applied and fertilizer application on test plots the Ultraslim LCD proved to be the best choice.

I wanted to pass on a thank-you from my customer EMS-Tech. Specifically to Marc but also to the others at Massload that were involved but I didn't deal with directly.
Last fall EMS-Tech bought a pair of custom ML-700s to measure cable tension for the winches that manipulate the loading spout at a grain terminal.
All was going well until about 5 weeks ago, when an operator at the terminal bypassed the safety mechanism, overloaded and broke the tension link as well as some other equipment. EMS-Tech has been under a lot of pressure from their customer to put the grain terminal back into service ASAP.
Marc & Massload made every effort to ensure that the custom ML-700 was delivered on time as promised.
Originally, the ML-700 was to be shipped via UPS Express but when Marc found out that UPS could not guarantee delivery, he hand delivered the equipment to Fedex. This saved at least two days and provided the time needed to configure & calibrate the electronics before handing the equipment over to EMS-Tech for installation and commissioning.

We purchased a set of axle pads several years ago and they are very accurate and convenient. When one of the load cells failed, ( I suspect operator abuse, truck slamming on the brakes) Ryan in tech support was amazingly patient, professional and helpful in the diagnostic process. He went above and beyond to help us get the problem resolved.
Our scale was up and running very quickly and is a very useful tool on our farm again.
*Just a side note, the more picky you are regarding the ground work under and ramps leading on and off the pads the more accurate they’ll be. We put a concrete pad underneath them and a level approach and departure ramp for weighing super B’s and are within 10-40 kg consistently of all the other certified scales in our area.
