TLM8 Weight Transmitter with 8 Independent Channels
The Laumas TLM8 is an advanced DIN-rail transmitter with 8 independent load cell channels, a graphic LCD display, and support for up to 16 load cells (350 Ω). It offers digital equalization, per-channel diagnostics, load distribution analysis, and extensive fieldbus connectivity for large-scale weighing systems.
PRODUCT DETAILS
The TLM8 is a capable multi-channel weight transmitter, providing 8 fully independent load cell reading channels for the most demanding large-scale weighing systems. Each channel is individually monitored and managed, enabling automatic diagnostics, load distribution analysis with graphical display, single-channel overload detection, and tilt compensation up to ±10 degrees – capabilities that are essential for high-capacity platform scales, large tank farms, vessel weighing, and structural load monitoring applications.
Digital equalization across all 8 channels eliminates the need for a junction box and simplifies commissioning of large multi-cell systems. The TLM8 connects to PLCs via its 16-bit analog output or through a comprehensive range of fieldbus protocols: Modbus RTU/TCP, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET IO, EtherCAT, CANopen, DeviceNet, CC-Link, POWERLINK, SERCOS III, and Ethernet TCP/IP. An IoT gateway connection via RS485 enables cloud-based monitoring.
Available in multiple enclosure options – including IP68/IP69K AISI 304 stainless steel and 3-A SSI hygienic versions – the TLM8 is equally at home in food processing, chemical, and plants. A single-product loading program with automatic fall calculation, tolerance control, and precision batching functions extends its use into batching and dosing operations. Configuration is via the free Instrument Manager PC software.
Most Common Applications: Large platform and floor scales, multi-vessel tank weighing, silo and hopper monitoring, crane and structural load monitoring, hygienic process weighing.

NBSCIA purchased a four piece set of Ultraslim LCD to allow two axle weighing. Staff could transport the Ultraslims in their personal vehicles.
Units were easy to level and the digital key pad was easy to read, even in sunlight.
NBSCIA found the scales to be accurate compared to harvest yield monitors and highway scales.
For NBSCIA's purpose to check crop yield and estimate tones of manure applied and fertilizer application on test plots the Ultraslim LCD proved to be the best choice.

I wanted to pass on a thank-you from my customer EMS-Tech. Specifically to Marc but also to the others at Massload that were involved but I didn't deal with directly.
Last fall EMS-Tech bought a pair of custom ML-700s to measure cable tension for the winches that manipulate the loading spout at a grain terminal.
All was going well until about 5 weeks ago, when an operator at the terminal bypassed the safety mechanism, overloaded and broke the tension link as well as some other equipment. EMS-Tech has been under a lot of pressure from their customer to put the grain terminal back into service ASAP.
Marc & Massload made every effort to ensure that the custom ML-700 was delivered on time as promised.
Originally, the ML-700 was to be shipped via UPS Express but when Marc found out that UPS could not guarantee delivery, he hand delivered the equipment to Fedex. This saved at least two days and provided the time needed to configure & calibrate the electronics before handing the equipment over to EMS-Tech for installation and commissioning.

We purchased a set of axle pads several years ago and they are very accurate and convenient. When one of the load cells failed, ( I suspect operator abuse, truck slamming on the brakes) Ryan in tech support was amazingly patient, professional and helpful in the diagnostic process. He went above and beyond to help us get the problem resolved.
Our scale was up and running very quickly and is a very useful tool on our farm again.
*Just a side note, the more picky you are regarding the ground work under and ramps leading on and off the pads the more accurate they’ll be. We put a concrete pad underneath them and a level approach and departure ramp for weighing super B’s and are within 10-40 kg consistently of all the other certified scales in our area.
