The TLB4 is a high-performance weight transmitter designed for applications that require simultaneous, independent monitoring of up to 4 load cell channels – all while displaying the total combined weight. It is the ideal solution for multi-point weighing systems such as platform scales, tank weighing, and silo monitoring, where per-corner or per-axis diagnostics and load distribution analysis are essential for process control and quality assurance.
In industrial automation environments, the TLB4 connects directly to a PLC via its optoisolated 16-bit analog output or via any of its extensive fieldbus options – Modbus RTU, Modbus/TCP, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET IO, Profibus DP, EtherCAT, CANopen, DeviceNet, CC-Link, POWERLINK, SERCOS III, and Ethernet TCP/IP. Its digital equalization feature eliminates the need for a junction box, simplifying commissioning of multi-cell systems. Built-in single-channel overload detection, tilt compensation up to ±10° via inclinometer, and an archive of the last 50 significant events support both preventive maintenance and compliance in legal-for-trade applications.
The TLB4 mounts on an Omega/DIN rail (space-saving vertical form) or on a front panel with the included fixing kit. Configurable via the free Instrument Manager PC software, it supports theoretical and real calibration, preset tare, semi-automatic zero, gross weight tracking, and a single-product batching program – making it equally suitable for batch weighing, filling, and dosing operations in food, chemical, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)) industries.
