Massload Axle Pad to Indicator

IMAGES

Massload Axle Pad Scale paired with the M1 digital indicator for operator-assisted manual weighing. The scale operator drives each axle on, reads the weight from the M1’s six-digit display and sums the axles for a total. A simple, rugged, cost-effective setup for yards needing reliable axle and gross weights. This system is not legal-for-trade. Ramps are available as an option for above-ground use.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Portable Truck Weighing Scales

Portable truck weighing scales, also known as axle pad scales, axle weigh pads, or wheel load scales, are used to measure individual axle weights and calculate a vehicle’s total gross weight.

Massload Technologies manufactures ultra-durable, low-profile axle pad scales designed for fast, accurate vehicle weighing across agriculture, mining, transportation, construction, waste management, and other demanding industries. Each system features a large weighing surface and delivers axle weight accuracy within 0.25% Full Scale (FS).

Our axle pad scales can be installed above ground using ramps for portable applications or flush-mounted in concrete for permanent installations. Systems are typically supplied in pairs for standard axle weighing but can also be configured with multiple platforms to capture the weight of an entire truck or trailer in a single weighment.

Above-ground installations are forklift portable, allowing the system to be easily relocated as operational needs change. For maximum reliability, portable installations should be used with Massload quick-disconnect cables.

Benefits of Axle Pad Scales

Axle pad scales help fleet operators improve safety, reduce operating costs, and ensure vehicles remain within legal weight limits.

By accurately monitoring axle loads, operators can:

  • Reduce the risk of overweight fines.
  • Prevent excessive wear on axles, drivetrains, tires, and suspension components.
  • Improve fuel efficiency by avoiding unnecessary excess weight.
  • Increase braking performance and reduce stopping distances.
  • Protect road infrastructure from unnecessary damage.
  • Improve driver and public safety.
  • Help maintain compliance with insurance and fleet operating requirements.

Available Size Options

Massload axle pad scales are available in several standard configurations:

  • 84″; 30″ Designed for dual (tandem) axle vehicles.
  • 144″; 30″ Designed for tri-axle vehicles.
  • 168″; 30″ Designed for wide-spread tri-axle configurations and super B trains, while providing all the capabilities of the standard tri-axle model.

Custom configurations are also available for specialized vehicle applications.
