DSCUSB Toolkit – USB Load Cell Converter Configuration Software
The Mantracourt DSCUSB Toolkit is a free Windows configuration and calibration software for DSCUSB and DSCUSB-PT strain gauge to USB converter modules. It supports two-point calibration, measurement rate and filter selection, CSV logging at up to 100 Hz, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) temperature compensation, and the ability to save and restore module settings.
PRODUCT DETAILS
The DSCUSB Toolkit is a dedicated configuration, calibration, and logging software for the DSCUSB and DSCUSB-PT digital strain gauge-to-USB converter modules. Distributed as freeware, it allows engineers and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) developers to set up, calibrate, and monitor USB-connected load cell and strain gauge sensors directly from a Windows PC — without the need for external amplifiers, signal conditioners, or power supplies.
The Toolkit can be explored in demo mode without a connected device, making it easy to evaluate the software before hardware is available. Once connected, it provides two-point calibration either by applying known weights or directly from a manufacturer’s load cell calibration certificate. Measurement rate and digital filter settings are fully configurable to optimise the balance between speed and stability for each application. Data can be logged to CSV at rates up to 100 Hz for import into Microsoft Excel. Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)-level temperature compensation and linearisation calibration are available, along with a setting lock to prevent tampering in production environments. Complete module configurations — including user calibration — can be saved and restored to the same or replacement DSCUSB units.

NBSCIA purchased a four piece set of Ultraslim LCD to allow two axle weighing. Staff could transport the Ultraslims in their personal vehicles.
Units were easy to level and the digital key pad was easy to read, even in sunlight.
NBSCIA found the scales to be accurate compared to harvest yield monitors and highway scales.
For NBSCIA's purpose to check crop yield and estimate tones of manure applied and fertilizer application on test plots the Ultraslim LCD proved to be the best choice.

I wanted to pass on a thank-you from my customer EMS-Tech. Specifically to Marc but also to the others at Massload that were involved but I didn't deal with directly.
Last fall EMS-Tech bought a pair of custom ML-700s to measure cable tension for the winches that manipulate the loading spout at a grain terminal.
All was going well until about 5 weeks ago, when an operator at the terminal bypassed the safety mechanism, overloaded and broke the tension link as well as some other equipment. EMS-Tech has been under a lot of pressure from their customer to put the grain terminal back into service ASAP.
Marc & Massload made every effort to ensure that the custom ML-700 was delivered on time as promised.
Originally, the ML-700 was to be shipped via UPS Express but when Marc found out that UPS could not guarantee delivery, he hand delivered the equipment to Fedex. This saved at least two days and provided the time needed to configure & calibrate the electronics before handing the equipment over to EMS-Tech for installation and commissioning.

We purchased a set of axle pads several years ago and they are very accurate and convenient. When one of the load cells failed, ( I suspect operator abuse, truck slamming on the brakes) Ryan in tech support was amazingly patient, professional and helpful in the diagnostic process. He went above and beyond to help us get the problem resolved.
Our scale was up and running very quickly and is a very useful tool on our farm again.
*Just a side note, the more picky you are regarding the ground work under and ramps leading on and off the pads the more accurate they’ll be. We put a concrete pad underneath them and a level approach and departure ramp for weighing super B’s and are within 10-40 kg consistently of all the other certified scales in our area.
