TI-500SL Battery-Powered Weight Indicator
The Transcell TI-500SL is a rugged NEMA 4X stainless steel weight indicator with a rechargeable lead-acid battery providing approximately 29 hours of operation, a backlit LCD display reading up to 50,000 graduations, and NTEP Class III (5,000 divisions) and Measurement Canada approval. Purpose-built for demanding industrial and portable commercial weighing applications.
PRODUCT DETAILS
The TI-500SL is a battery-powered digital weight indicator designed for industrial environments. Its 6-volt 3 Ah internal rechargeable lead-acid battery delivers approximately 29 hours of field operation on a single charge – far exceeding the runtime of many competitors – while an included AC adapter allows simultaneous use and recharging during prolonged fixed-location use. The NEMA 4X / IP65 stainless steel enclosure protects against dust, water, and corrosion, and the stainless steel swivel stand allows the indicator to be repositioned easily for optimal operator viewing.
Front-panel configuration of all parameters eliminates the need for a PC during setup, speeding deployment in remote or time-sensitive locations. The auto weight capture function is especially valuable in portable applications such as livestock weighing and field inspection, where the load on the platform may not be completely stable. With NTEP Class III certification (5,000 divisions, NTEP CC 94-080A3) and Measurement Canada approval (AM-5800C), the TI-500SL meets legal-for-trade requirements across North America.
Most Common Applications: Portable commercial trade scales, livestock and agricultural weighing,industrial floor scales in remote or washdown locations.

NBSCIA purchased a four piece set of Ultraslim LCD to allow two axle weighing. Staff could transport the Ultraslims in their personal vehicles.
Units were easy to level and the digital key pad was easy to read, even in sunlight.
NBSCIA found the scales to be accurate compared to harvest yield monitors and highway scales.
For NBSCIA's purpose to check crop yield and estimate tones of manure applied and fertilizer application on test plots the Ultraslim LCD proved to be the best choice.

I wanted to pass on a thank-you from my customer EMS-Tech. Specifically to Marc but also to the others at Massload that were involved but I didn't deal with directly.
Last fall EMS-Tech bought a pair of custom ML-700s to measure cable tension for the winches that manipulate the loading spout at a grain terminal.
All was going well until about 5 weeks ago, when an operator at the terminal bypassed the safety mechanism, overloaded and broke the tension link as well as some other equipment. EMS-Tech has been under a lot of pressure from their customer to put the grain terminal back into service ASAP.
Marc & Massload made every effort to ensure that the custom ML-700 was delivered on time as promised.
Originally, the ML-700 was to be shipped via UPS Express but when Marc found out that UPS could not guarantee delivery, he hand delivered the equipment to Fedex. This saved at least two days and provided the time needed to configure & calibrate the electronics before handing the equipment over to EMS-Tech for installation and commissioning.

We purchased a set of axle pads several years ago and they are very accurate and convenient. When one of the load cells failed, ( I suspect operator abuse, truck slamming on the brakes) Ryan in tech support was amazingly patient, professional and helpful in the diagnostic process. He went above and beyond to help us get the problem resolved.
Our scale was up and running very quickly and is a very useful tool on our farm again.
*Just a side note, the more picky you are regarding the ground work under and ramps leading on and off the pads the more accurate they’ll be. We put a concrete pad underneath them and a level approach and departure ramp for weighing super B’s and are within 10-40 kg consistently of all the other certified scales in our area.
