The PSDS is a re-engineered, next-generation portable transducer readout purpose-built for sensor manufacturers and test and measurement professionals who require a highly flexible, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)-configurable handheld display for strain bridge sensors. Unlike general weighing indicators, the PSDS is sensor-agnostic – supporting load cells, force sensors, pressure transducers, torque sensors, and strain-gauge-based sensors through a common 6-wire (or 4-wire) connection with a sensitivity range of ±7.5 mV/V to ±480 mV/V with a 3.3 VDC excitation.
Up to six independently stored calibration ranges allow a single PSDS unit to be calibrated for multiple sensors or multiple ranges of the same sensor, dramatically reducing the number of readout units required in a multi-sensor test environment. TEDS template support (IEEE 1451, templates 33, 40, 41) enables plug-and-play sensor identification for TEDS-enabled smart sensors. The 128×64-pixel backlit dot-matrix display supports six configurable display modes – Simple Mode, Min/Max, Hold, Delta, Cumulative Zeroing, and Go/No Go – covering diverse measurement and quality control workflows.
The Windows-based PSD Toolkit connects via USB for full Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) configuration, multi-point calibration, live data logging, security lockout, and branding customization. Measurement rate reaches up to 2,400 SPS for dynamic load and force measurement. Optional mounting accessories including magnetic pads and fixed mounts extend its use beyond purely handheld scenarios.
