Massload ML100 Mounting Kits for Compression Load Cells
The Massload ML 100 is a single ended shear beam load cell used with this weigh module/mount in tank, hopper, and vessel weighing. The weigh module/mount is available for 5,000 lb (2,268 kg) and 10,000 lb (4,536 kg) load cell capacities. Fully made in Canada, designed for easy installation on 3- or 4-legged tank and hopper structures.
PRODUCT DETAILS
The Massload ML 100 is a single-beam compression load cell weigh module purpose-built for tank, hopper, and vessel weighing in rugged industrial environments. Fully manufactured in Canada, it is engineered to deliver high-accuracy, legal-for-trade weight measurement in applications where load is applied from above — such as bulk storage tanks, process hoppers, mixing vessels, and silo scales.
Installation is straightforward: the bottom of the assembly is bolted or welded to the foundation, and the top is bolted or welded directly to the tank or hopper leg. The free-floating foot incorporates a ball bearing that accommodates slight variances in the foundation, and the height of the load cell can be fine-tuned by adjusting the base nut, with a top jam nut to lock the foot in place — providing maximum flexibility for achieving the level critical to high accuracy weighing. Should the load cell ever need replacement, the simple design makes the process quick and easy.
Load cell signals from multiple modules can be summed through a summation junction box and wired to any weight indicator or control system. A 3- or 4-legged tank or hopper configuration is recommended for easiest levelling and best performance. The module is available in a custom powder-coated colour on request.
Most Common Applications: Tank scales, hopper scales, silo and bulk storage vessel weighing, process batching systems, mixing vessel weighing, agricultural grain bin scales, chemical storage tank monitoring.

Units were easy to level and the digital key pad was easy to read, even in sunlight.

I wanted to pass on a thank-you from my customer EMS-Tech. Specifically to Marc but also to the others at Massload that were involved but I didn't deal with directly.
Last fall EMS-Tech bought a pair of custom ML-700s to measure cable tension for the winches that manipulate the loading spout at a grain terminal.
All was going well until about 5 weeks ago, when an operator at the terminal bypassed the safety mechanism, overloaded and broke the tension link as well as some other equipment. EMS-Tech has been under a lot of pressure from their customer to put the grain terminal back into service ASAP.
Marc & Massload made every effort to ensure that the custom ML-700 was delivered on time as promised.
Originally, the ML-700 was to be shipped via UPS Express but when Marc found out that UPS could not guarantee delivery, he hand delivered the equipment to Fedex. This saved at least two days and provided the time needed to configure & calibrate the electronics before handing the equipment over to EMS-Tech for installation and commissioning.

We purchased a set of axle pads several years ago and they are very accurate and convenient. When one of the load cells failed, ( I suspect operator abuse, truck slamming on the brakes) Ryan in tech support was amazingly patient, professional and helpful in the diagnostic process. He went above and beyond to help us get the problem resolved.
Our scale was up and running very quickly and is a very useful tool on our farm again.
*Just a side note, the more picky you are regarding the ground work under and ramps leading on and off the pads the more accurate they’ll be. We put a concrete pad underneath them and a level approach and departure ramp for weighing super B’s and are within 10-40 kg consistently of all the other certified scales in our area.
