CX Compression Load Cell
The Laumas CX is an AISI 420 stainless steel low-profile compression button type load cell available in capacities from 1,000 kg to 30,000 kg (2,205 to 66,139 lb) with IP68 hermetic protection and a combined error of ≤ ±0.05%. With an optional IP69K rating for high-pressure steam-jet cleaning and ATEX/IECEx listings, it is ideally suited for food processing, and chemical tank and vessel weighing applications.
PRODUCT DETAILS
The CX is a low to mid-range AISI 420 stainless steel compression button type load cell, providing a stepped-up capacity and body size compared to the CBL for applications in the 1,000 kg to 30,000 kg (2,205 lb to 66,139 lb) range. The load cell together with a weighing module is installed at the support points of tanks, vessels, silos, and hoppers to measure the load at each support point, with the sum of all load cell to get the total weight. The CX achieves a combined error of ≤ ±0.05% with a rated output of 2 mV/V ±0.4% and a compensated temperature range of – 10°C to +50°C (14°F to 122°F), with an operating range of – 20°C to +60°C (- 4°F to 140°F). IP68 is standard, and IP69K certification (100 bar hot water jet at 80°C) is available on request for the most demanding food and pharmaceutical hygienic washdown requirements. Cable is 10 m (32.8 ft). ATEX/IECEx certified versions are available for hazardous areas.
Most Common Applications: Food and beverage tank and vessel weighing, pharmaceutical reactor and mixing vessel scales, chemical silo and hopper weighing, industrial process batching, hygienic compression weighing requiring steam-jet cleaning capability.
