CE81PN ABS Equalization Junction Box
The Laumas CE81PN is an ABS IP67 equalization junction box for up to 8 load cells, with lightning and electrical shock protection and 8+2 M16×1.5 polyamide cable glands (or 8+2 PVC sheath fittings for CE81PNR version). It supports both 4 and 6-wire connections and delivers reliable per-cell analog equalization for large multi-cell platform and industrial scales in environments from −20°C to +60°C (−4°F to +140°F).
PRODUCT DETAILS
The CE81PN is a full-scale 8-channel equalization junction box in a rugged IP67 ABS enclosure, built for multi-point weighing systems where signal balancing across all load cells is required for accurate summed output. Supporting up to 8 load cells through 8+2 M16×1.5 polyamide cable glands (or 8+2 PVC sheath fittings for CE81PNR version), the CE81PN is well suited to large platform scales, multi-cell floor scales, weighbridges, and industrial process scales where a high channel count and field-accessible equalization are needed.
The integrated lightning and electrical shock protection device safeguards load cell signals and instrumentation from transient voltage spikes caused by nearby lightning strikes or electrical faults — an important feature for outdoor installations and large-scale industrial weighing systems. Per-cell potentiometer trimming (50 Ω per channel) allows technicians to manually balance individual cell outputs on-site. The transparent ABS lid gives a clear view of terminal connections without opening the enclosure.

Units were easy to level and the digital key pad was easy to read, even in sunlight.

I wanted to pass on a thank-you from my customer EMS-Tech. Specifically to Marc but also to the others at Massload that were involved but I didn't deal with directly.
Last fall EMS-Tech bought a pair of custom ML-700s to measure cable tension for the winches that manipulate the loading spout at a grain terminal.
All was going well until about 5 weeks ago, when an operator at the terminal bypassed the safety mechanism, overloaded and broke the tension link as well as some other equipment. EMS-Tech has been under a lot of pressure from their customer to put the grain terminal back into service ASAP.
Marc & Massload made every effort to ensure that the custom ML-700 was delivered on time as promised.
Originally, the ML-700 was to be shipped via UPS Express but when Marc found out that UPS could not guarantee delivery, he hand delivered the equipment to Fedex. This saved at least two days and provided the time needed to configure & calibrate the electronics before handing the equipment over to EMS-Tech for installation and commissioning.

We purchased a set of axle pads several years ago and they are very accurate and convenient. When one of the load cells failed, ( I suspect operator abuse, truck slamming on the brakes) Ryan in tech support was amazingly patient, professional and helpful in the diagnostic process. He went above and beyond to help us get the problem resolved.
Our scale was up and running very quickly and is a very useful tool on our farm again.
*Just a side note, the more picky you are regarding the ground work under and ramps leading on and off the pads the more accurate they’ll be. We put a concrete pad underneath them and a level approach and departure ramp for weighing super B’s and are within 10-40 kg consistently of all the other certified scales in our area.
