B24-SSBX-A Bluetooth Strain Bridge Transmitter Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Board
The Mantracourt B24-SSBX-A is a bare-board Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) strain bridge transmitter Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) module for integration into custom enclosures and products. Connecting to sensors with a bridge resistance of 85 to 5,000 Ω, with high resolution of up to 184,000 counts (17.5 bits at 6 mV/V) to iOS and Android devices.
PRODUCT DETAILS
The B24-SSBX-A is the bare-board Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) version of the B24-SSB Bluetooth strain bridge transmitter, designed to be built directly into custom instruments, enclosures, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) products where the manufacturer supplies their own housing. Its compact PCB measures just 25 x 21.5 mm – separate from the ‘C’ style enclosure of the B24-SSBC – and connects to any 4-wire strain bridge transducer between 85 and 5,000 Ω, transmitting wirelessly to iOS and Android devices over 30 to 90 m (100 to 295 ft) line-of-sight.
Measurement performance is identical to the B24-SSBC: noise-free resolution of 1 in 92,000 counts (16.5-bit) at 3 mV/V and 1 in 184,000 counts (17.5-bit) at 6 mV/V, with four sensitivity range settings from ±6 to ±48 mV/V and a 24-bit internal ADC. The B24-SSBX-A operates from 2.3 to 3.6 VDC – powered from the host product’s supply – and draws a peak current of 30 mA with a standby of just 10 µA, making it suitable for battery-powered Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) designs. Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) integration into iOS and Android custom apps is supported by published Bluetooth advertisement format and encoding documentation.

I wanted to pass on a thank-you from my customer EMS-Tech. Specifically to Marc but also to the others at Massload that were involved but I didn't deal with directly.
Last fall EMS-Tech bought a pair of custom ML-700s to measure cable tension for the winches that manipulate the loading spout at a grain terminal.
All was going well until about 5 weeks ago, when an operator at the terminal bypassed the safety mechanism, overloaded and broke the tension link as well as some other equipment. EMS-Tech has been under a lot of pressure from their customer to put the grain terminal back into service ASAP.
Marc & Massload made every effort to ensure that the custom ML-700 was delivered on time as promised.
Originally, the ML-700 was to be shipped via UPS Express but when Marc found out that UPS could not guarantee delivery, he hand delivered the equipment to Fedex. This saved at least two days and provided the time needed to configure & calibrate the electronics before handing the equipment over to EMS-Tech for installation and commissioning.

We purchased a set of axle pads several years ago and they are very accurate and convenient. When one of the load cells failed, ( I suspect operator abuse, truck slamming on the brakes) Ryan in tech support was amazingly patient, professional and helpful in the diagnostic process. He went above and beyond to help us get the problem resolved.
Our scale was up and running very quickly and is a very useful tool on our farm again.
*Just a side note, the more picky you are regarding the ground work under and ramps leading on and off the pads the more accurate they’ll be. We put a concrete pad underneath them and a level approach and departure ramp for weighing super B’s and are within 10-40 kg consistently of all the other certified scales in our area.
