B24-SSBC-A Bluetooth Strain Bridge Transmitter
The Mantracourt B24-SSBC-A is a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) strain bridge transmitter in a compact IP67 C style enclosure with an integrated battery holder for two AA batteries. It connects directly to load cells and strain gauges (85 to 5,000 Ω), delivers up to 17.5-bit wireless measurements to iOS and Android devices, and carries FCC and Industry Canada approval.

The B24-SSBC-A is the field-ready enclosed version of the B24-SSB Bluetooth strain bridge transmitter, packaged in a compact 3.15 x 2.44 x 1.34 in (80 x 62 x 34 mm) IP67-rated ‘C’ style enclosure with an integrated AA battery holder – ready to mount and deploy without any additional housing or wiring enclosure. It connects to any 4-wire strain bridge transducer between 85 and 5,000 Ω and transmits high-quality BLE measurements wirelessly to iOS and Android devices over ranges of 100 to 295 ft (30 to 90 m) line-of-sight.
The B24-SSBC-A achieves noise-free resolution of 1 in 92,000 counts (16.5-bit) with a 3 mV/V sensor and 1 in 184,000 counts (17.5-bit) with a 6 mV/V sensor, with four sensitivity range settings (±6, ±12, ±24, ±48 mV/V) accommodating a wide variety of load cells, torque sensors, and strain gauges. Two AA batteries power the unit for up to 10 months of continuous operation at 1 sample per second. Advanced PIN protection for configuration, viewing, and calibration prevents unauthorized access in multi-user or customer-deployed applications.
The free iOS and Android B24 app enables dashboard creation with digital displays, gauges, tanks, and charts, with readings definable as mathematical expressions across multiple transmitters for multi-point measurement systems.

I wanted to pass on a thank-you from my customer EMS-Tech. Specifically to Marc but also to the others at Massload that were involved but I didn't deal with directly.
Last fall EMS-Tech bought a pair of custom ML-700s to measure cable tension for the winches that manipulate the loading spout at a grain terminal.
All was going well until about 5 weeks ago, when an operator at the terminal bypassed the safety mechanism, overloaded and broke the tension link as well as some other equipment. EMS-Tech has been under a lot of pressure from their customer to put the grain terminal back into service ASAP.
Marc & Massload made every effort to ensure that the custom ML-700 was delivered on time as promised.
Originally, the ML-700 was to be shipped via UPS Express but when Marc found out that UPS could not guarantee delivery, he hand delivered the equipment to Fedex. This saved at least two days and provided the time needed to configure & calibrate the electronics before handing the equipment over to EMS-Tech for installation and commissioning.

We purchased a set of axle pads several years ago and they are very accurate and convenient. When one of the load cells failed, ( I suspect operator abuse, truck slamming on the brakes) Ryan in tech support was amazingly patient, professional and helpful in the diagnostic process. He went above and beyond to help us get the problem resolved.
Our scale was up and running very quickly and is a very useful tool on our farm again.
*Just a side note, the more picky you are regarding the ground work under and ramps leading on and off the pads the more accurate they’ll be. We put a concrete pad underneath them and a level approach and departure ramp for weighing super B’s and are within 10-40 kg consistently of all the other certified scales in our area.
