APX Programmable Weight Indicator
The Western Scale APX is a top-of-the-line programmable weight indicator with a full-colour TFT LCD graphic display, ARM Cortex processor, modular design, Ethernet connectivity, NTEP Class III/IIIL and Measurement Canada Class III/IIIHD approval. Suitable for standard or custom truck in/out, axle weighing, accumulation, and factory-programmed solutions across the most demanding weighing systems.
PRODUCT DETAILS
The APX is a fully programmable, network-ready platform designed for complex weighing systems that demand the highest level of display capability, connectivity, and customization. Its ARM Cortex processor drives a full-color TFT LCD graphic display showing up to four scales simultaneously along with real-time application status, giving operators clear situational awareness in multi-zone environments such as truck weighbridges, multi-platform industrial systems, and automated process lines.
The modular hardware design simplifies field upgrades and service, and the removable SD card provides additional backup memory. Built-in Ethernet (TCP/IP, 10/100 Base T) combined with two RS-232 and one RS-422 serial port plus a USB-A host port covers the most common standard communication from simple printer output to APXLink Software for each truck transaction download to a local computer. NEMA 4X / IP65 certification and a 304 stainless steel swivel bracket enclosure ensure reliable performance in washdown and outdoor environments.
Most Common Applications: Commercial truck weighbridges, axle-by-axle weight enforcement, multi-platform industrial process weighing, grain elevator and mine site operations, custom Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) weighing system integration.

NBSCIA purchased a four piece set of Ultraslim LCD to allow two axle weighing. Staff could transport the Ultraslims in their personal vehicles.
Units were easy to level and the digital key pad was easy to read, even in sunlight.
NBSCIA found the scales to be accurate compared to harvest yield monitors and highway scales.
For NBSCIA's purpose to check crop yield and estimate tones of manure applied and fertilizer application on test plots the Ultraslim LCD proved to be the best choice.

I wanted to pass on a thank-you from my customer EMS-Tech. Specifically to Marc but also to the others at Massload that were involved but I didn't deal with directly.
Last fall EMS-Tech bought a pair of custom ML-700s to measure cable tension for the winches that manipulate the loading spout at a grain terminal.
All was going well until about 5 weeks ago, when an operator at the terminal bypassed the safety mechanism, overloaded and broke the tension link as well as some other equipment. EMS-Tech has been under a lot of pressure from their customer to put the grain terminal back into service ASAP.
Marc & Massload made every effort to ensure that the custom ML-700 was delivered on time as promised.
Originally, the ML-700 was to be shipped via UPS Express but when Marc found out that UPS could not guarantee delivery, he hand delivered the equipment to Fedex. This saved at least two days and provided the time needed to configure & calibrate the electronics before handing the equipment over to EMS-Tech for installation and commissioning.

We purchased a set of axle pads several years ago and they are very accurate and convenient. When one of the load cells failed, ( I suspect operator abuse, truck slamming on the brakes) Ryan in tech support was amazingly patient, professional and helpful in the diagnostic process. He went above and beyond to help us get the problem resolved.
Our scale was up and running very quickly and is a very useful tool on our farm again.
*Just a side note, the more picky you are regarding the ground work under and ramps leading on and off the pads the more accurate they’ll be. We put a concrete pad underneath them and a level approach and departure ramp for weighing super B’s and are within 10-40 kg consistently of all the other certified scales in our area.
