The 101BS is a heavy-duty 17-4PH stainless steel S-beam load cell engineered for high-capacity certified tension and compression weighing in corrosive, washdown-intensive, and hostile process environments. Available from 300 kg to 10,000 kg and 500 lb to 20,000 lb with NTEP Class III and OIML MAA C3/C4.5 dual certification, the 101BS is the premium stainless steel S-beam for legal-for-trade weighing in food processing, chemical, and pharmaceutical facilities where alloy steel sensors cannot withstand the cleaning chemicals, moisture, and regulatory requirements of the operating environment. The IP68 welded stainless steel seal provides full waterproof protection against continuous immersion and high-pressure washdown — meeting the demands of the most aggressive CIP cleaning cycles encountered in food and dairy processing.
With an operating temperature range of −30°C to 70°C (−22°F to 158°F), the 101BS maintains accurate performance across the full range of outdoor and indoor industrial temperatures encountered in North American operations. The 2 mV/V ± 1% output connects to load cell indicators, transmitters, data acquisition systems, and Analog output signal conditioners for PLC and SCADA-based process monitoring. FM approval supports North American hazardous-area applications, and ATEX/IECEx “-Ex” suffix versions are available.
Most Common Applications: Hopper and tank weighing in food processing, dairy, pharmaceutical, and chemical plants; high-capacity tension weighing in washdown-duty industrial environments; stainless-required certified process weighing; OEM integration in food-grade weighing systems.
