Heavy Duty Weigh-in-Motion

 

 

To compliment our portable weigh in motion system, Massload has developed it's first generation of semi-permanent, heavy duty, low speed weigh in motion system.

This configuration utilizes our heavy duty axle weighing scales combined with our weigh in motion software and computer. With pad capacities up to 40,000 lbs, these pads are ideal for heavy trucks and rugged use.

How is the system setup?

A pit must be fabricated for these pads to fit into. These axle scales must be mounted flush with the road surface. The loadcells are summed together at the scale and are fed into the weigh in motion computer. The software senses when there is weight on the scale, and the weigh in motion software algorithm starts and runs until the vehical has passed all of it's axles over the scale pads. The computer then determines the weight of each axle, total weight, and a host of other statistics. (These can be seen on the weigh in motion software page)

What are the benefits to a system like this?

The number one benefit to this configuration is the durability and ruggedness. Our axle pads are in use around the world and proven themselves in the toughest industrial environments. The ML1100 loadcell has a rated overload capacity of 200% and comes with a 2 year warranty. It is designed for both static and dynamic applications. This, coupled with it's high accuracy makes it an ideal cell for low speed weigh in motion.
