Weighing Systems Overview

This section is meant to help you understand what is involved in buying a digital scale. The diagram below shows components that you should consider.

Starting with the type of scale, the type of signal that is required, the way you want to display the weight on the scale, and any other peripherals that you would like to hook up; such as remote scoreboard displays, printers, or computers.

Step 1:

The first step in buying a scale is to determine the type of scale you need based on what you plan to weigh.

Step 2:
Once you have selected the type of scale that you need to solve your weighing
solution, you then need to determine how you want to display the weight that is on the
scale.

Please feel free to click on the illustration below if a particular product interests you.

Whether it be a standalone readout that just shows the weight, or a high tech Portable laptop and case, you can count on Massload to help you determine the readout that is suitable for your application.

In most cases, the type of signal from the scale to the readout is not important to the buyer. A standard hard wired system uses industry standard mV/V signal. All of the weight indicators below are capable of working with this signal. Only if you require the signal to interface with something other than a standard weight indicator do you need to consider the type of signal to use.

Massload offers a wireless interface that can connect nearly any scale or loadcell to nearly any standard weight indicator.

Contact Massload for wireless options and to check the suitability of using wireless with your scale or simply click on the wireless illustration below under signal options.
