We use a custom designed load pin in one of our applications
to measure tension on a cable. The device is installed in
our own measuring head. The people at Massload were very easy
to work with and produced a product that is accurate, repeatable,
and plenty linear enough for our application. Since the product
is made in Canada, it is also very economical for us.
There are over 50 of these
load pins in use in rugged field operations right now. We
have also used various tension link load cells and the floater
crane scale made by Massload Technologies. Both us and our
customers are very happy with the results.
