Indicators are the brains behind the weighing process. They send signal to the load cell(s) and analyse the return signal to determine how much weight is being applied to the system. Wired indicators have a cabled connection to the load cells which come standard with hard wire seal over connectors or optional military-style quick disconnects. When selecting the right indicator consider the following questions
- Will the indicator match my power supply (AC, DC, or battery power)
- Does it need to be weather protected (generally stainless steel)
- Will it be used in a legal for trade application (require certification)
- Does it need to do anything special such as save data, operate a remote score board, operate a printer, trigger alarms, etc.
